Miguel -

It really comes down to the industry or domain you are focused on as well as what competencies you are the weakest in or would benefit the most by developing. If you can provide more details about the industry/domain you have experience in or will be targeting as well as your own background, that might help folks to provide a more useful response.

A few thoughts on identifying helpful certifications and skills:
- Go to your job board of choice (indeed, dice, etc.) and research what companies are looking for.
- Talk to members of your local PMI chapter and see what they can tell you about the local job market and career opportunities.
- Keep in mind that some certifications have more utility than others, and in some cases the training involved will be more valuable than the piece of paper.

To Kiron's point, If you want to work in IT, it helps to understand IT. Some companies look for Technical PMs with coding experience. If you want to work in marketing, cybersecurity, or construction, having experience in marketing, cybersecurity, or construction will help. There is a good chance that you will need to work in a given field for a while and work your way into project management in that field.

Miguel, we need more details about your professional background and industry in order to be able to provide better advise.

In general, I do recommend CAPM certification for new comers or those who are newly transitioning into the PM World.
