I recently completed the PMI course on AI tools for project managers, and it got me thinking—are we still sticking to PowerPoint for presentations, or have AI-driven tools started to take over? These new platforms can generate polished slides in seconds, but I’m not sure how widely they’re being adopted. Personally, I’m curious to hear from fellow project managers—have you tried AI for your presentations? Has it saved you time, or do you still find PowerPoint the best option for stakeholder meetings and project updates? Saving Changes...

Eduard,
Interesting thought! . I've seen how AI tools can streamline the creation of presentations, but the real value is still in the narrative and context we give them. In my experience, AI saves time in design and structure, but personalization and connecting with stakeholders still requires a human touch.
AI or PowerPoint? It depends on the purpose. For quick reports, AI is a great ally. For strategic presentations, PowerPoint with a thoughtful approach is still key. Saving Changes...
One question to consider is software compatibility. Regardless of the tools you use to generate graphics, can anyone else open it and navigate the content, or did you just limit the options for distribution and delivery?

You raise a very valid point. I had to think of MS Project, a great tool, but with limited use for those who don't have a license. For AI, in addition to this limitation, there is also the data confidentiality issue!

Great question! While I still use PowerPoint for many presentations, I’ve started experimenting with AI-powered tools, and they can be a real time-saver! The ability to quickly generate polished slides is impressive, especially when time is tight. However, I find that PowerPoint still offers a level of customization and familiarity that’s hard to beat for stakeholder meetings. I’d love to hear how others are balancing these options!

It has become noticeable that AI-generated presentations often have a distinct style, making it possible to recognize patterns and even identify who created a presentation using AI. As long as the level of dedication and interest—essentially, the "heart" you're putting into it—is evident, the final result can still feel personal and meaningful.
AI is clearly here to stay. These tools are undoubtedly powerful; specifically, if you're starting from scratch, they can not only help create the presentation but also generate the ideas behind it.
For highly specific scenarios, such as kickoff meetings or presentations with defined subjects, AI can work alongside traditional PowerPoint to complement when needed.
Gamma is a great resource for crafting presentations utilizing AI.
Also, it can be very powerful to use ChatGPT or similar to help with planning, outlining, synthesizing ideas, creating drafts, editing copy, and generating images or graphics.

Luv gamma and also use co-pilot to assist with creating some slides. Using Gamma has saved me lots of time and provided some creative ways to display my messages. Also used it for some kickoff materials. However, you always have to review and proof read and fact check everything! What PPT AI apps are others using? Saving Changes...
While my direct application of generative AI for presentation creation has been limited due to current internal availability, I have found AI tools, such as ChatGPT, to be valuable for content reformulation and structuring. I anticipate further advancements in AI will offer significant benefits. My perspective is that AI serves as a powerful framework for initial development, requiring subsequent refinement and adaptation to individual styles and specific project requirements, rather than a complete replacement of human input.

Thanks for sharing your input. Indeed, using AI ad a supportive tool seems to be the most prevalent option at the moment. As technology further evolves and is embraced by organizations (top down), I can foresee a more extensive and comprehensive usage.

I have used Prezi.AI once. I have to say that I just tried it to see how Ai powered tools would make changes and to be honest I was impressed by the output, considering I only spent a very little time on it. If I had to learn the tool properly and try it once more, I think I would stick to AI powered tools since it saves time a lot. Saving Changes...
I’ve started exploring AI-driven tools for presentations, and they’re great for quick, polished slides. They definitely save time, but I still rely on PowerPoint for more tailored, interactive content during stakeholder meetings. It’s all about finding the right balance between speed and customization!
