In my opinion as a bilingual in English and French, I would say up to now English and French are the most important languages that contain scientific and Technological concepts. But with the rise of China, and maybe the Chinese scientists and Technology experts developing conceptual thinking in Chinese, and the Chinese language developing as a Technology Conceptual language, maybe we should include Chinese as the third important language for Science and Technology.
As an aside did you know if you speak and write English and French then you can easily learn and speak German, Spanish and Italian? I used to speak all these 5 languages when I was young, but due to the lack of interaction other than in English and French, I lost my German, Italian and Spanish.
What do you guys what are the languages of the future for tech?

English has a strong foothold in the tech world, especially since most programming languages and technical documentation are based in English. Given how central English is to IT and global communication, it seems likely it will remain dominant in science and technology for the foreseeable future.

Hi Danny, I agree with you, but I am saying French is also a very scientific language. And if Chinese or another language becomes a rising star in conceptual science, then maybe it would be advantageous to learn it to keep abreast of new technologies in that particular language.
Cheers! Jean Laval

Tip: If you are looking for international opportunities, English is a must. For business in Asia, Mandarin Chinese or Hindi are strategic. If you're interested in growth in Africa, French or Arabic can open doors.
