A project had ten separate projects that were to be completed on time. Eight of them were successfully completed by eight different contractors. But the contractors of the remaining two projects are four months behind schedule.

The problem is that all the projects need to be ready together to complete the formal handover in the presence of high-ranking government officials. Despite various efforts, the project manager is unable to expedite the work of the two delayed projects. On the other hand, the managers of the contractors of eight projects are sitting around, which is a big challenge for project management.

In this situation, how do you deal with the risks and complete the project successfully?

It depends on what "ready" means for those two lagging projects. Is scope reduction an option? Also, four months delay doesn't provide much info - is that four months in a ten year timeline or four months in a one year timeline?

Tough situation. I would focus on strong escalation get senior leadership involved if needed. Also, reassign idle resources to help the delayed projects if possible. Clear, honest communication with all parties is key. Keeping momentum matters more than perfect plans here.
