CPMAI Exam

linkedin twitter facebook   Artificial Intelligence
Hello, I am 75% through the CPMAI course and cannot help thinking about the exam.  The course is so terminology laden that I am getting a bit panicked about what the exam will be like.  Is there a comprehensive practice exam that is available? I plan on going through all of the quizzes again but I know that is not the same as a fresh practice exam. Are there many of the "select all that apply" types of questions? If so are those weighted in such a way that if you miss one out of the total correct options that you will not get the entire thing marked wrong? Example- 4 correct selections but I only selected 3-- would the entire question get marked wrong or only 25%. I am looking for some direction, as I am feeling a bit lost when it comes to preparing for the exam. I appreciate any help. Thank you

I feel your panic. I'm 90% through and am worried about remembering everything I learned 4 weeks ago. I wrote out every slide and 12 pens and two books later and overwhelmed with having to read it all again.

Hi Cherri- I finished the course and am now beginning to study for the exam. I still do not have any real clarity on what to hone in and study for. Have you taken the exam yet?

As far as I know, there aren’t any official practice exams available for the CPMAI. I took the exam before it was integrated with PMI, and at that time it was open book. The exam wasn’t particularly difficult, but I’m not sure how much it has changed under the new format.

One thing to keep in mind: if you get a multi-select question and don’t choose all the correct answers, the entire question may be marked incorrect, partial credit likely isn’t given.

Try not to stress too much. Focus on understanding the key terminologies, their meanings, and the intent behind them.

Good Luck!

There is an official practice test for $100 on PMI. Do not buy it. It won't help you in any way. The questions are very easy. If learning is your goal, use PMI Infinity. It is very good for learning.

It’s okay if some terms and expressions are new—it takes time to digest everything. Stay patient and move forward at a pace that helps you learn effectively

I agree, It’s a heavy course content-wise, especially with the amount of terminology packed in toward the end. Try CertBoosters, they offer a full-length practice test that’s more in line with what the real exam feels like. It’s a step up from just reviewing the built-in quizzes, especially if you’re trying to simulate actual CPMAI exam conditions. The questions are comprehensive and worded in a way that force you to think, not just recall definitions.

Where does CertBoosters get their material from? I do not want to pay if it is just a compilation of the course quizzes or has the potential to introduce slightly different wording than the course provides which could throw me off.

I have just now finished the course and am planning on taking the test the first week of July. I printed the workbook, the exam content outline and the glossary. I found a guide on Amazon and went through that, it was a more streamlined version of the workshop. So just going to hope for the best!

I just took the cert boosters exam and got 57%. Sigh. I mean it tells you what you got wrong. I will say that I think the ethics portion of the workshop is outdated and doesn't prepare you well for the questions as that's most of them I got wrong and I just finished that module so the content is fresh. I do think one of the questions that I got wrong was actually correct because their answer didn't make sense and chatgpt agreed with me. So back to trying to learn all of this with algorithms and models and what they all do, which was most of the rest of what I got wrong. The questions I took on the PMI exam workbook I passed so I don't know.

Oh no- that is not great to hear and what I was afraid of. It is not helpful to move to a proctored exam and not offer any support or full length practice exams. I am all too familiar with courses that have tests that are not anywhere close to the course and quizzes. My employer paid for this course for me and I am really wishing I just paid for it myself because it is adding stress that there is no test prep help and that my employer is expecting me to pass and get certified. I did fine on the included 15 practice questions but I also know not to rely on that because practice examples tend to be easier and nothing like the exam.
Does CertBoosters allow you to retake once you purchase? Or is it only the one chance?
