PDF password when Google Linked

Hello everyone,

I just joined as a post graduate student. When setting up my PMI account I had chosen the Google Link which autofilled. I haven't typed that password in for a long time. Having downloaded various books they are password protected. Research here says the books password would be my login password, that old autofill.

Here are my questions:

1) If I change the Google Link password would the pdfs still look for the old password?

2) If after changing the login password should I download the books again to use the new password?

3) If there a way to move my PMI.org to use a normal login rather than Google link?

I’d first check whether the PDF password is tied to your PMI account password or generated when the book is downloaded. Changing your Google-linked password may not automatically update files you already downloaded, so I’d test one before downloading everything again. If you mainly need to work with PDF files, a tool like https://onlydoc.com/pdf-to-dxf PDF to DXF converter can also be useful when you need to turn PDF drawings into editable CAD files. For the PMI login itself, their support team should be able to confirm the safest way to switch from Google authentication.
