I’ll be attending the 2025 PMI Global Conference in Phoenix, and it’ll be my first time joining this event.

For those who’ve attended before, what’s your advice for getting the most out of it? Which sessions, networking strategies, or evening meetups made the biggest difference for you?

I’m travelling all the way from Canada to Phoenix, so I want to make sure the experience truly counts both professionally and personally.

What helped you turn the conference into real value after you got back home? This will be helpful information for me and any future first-time attendees. Thank you!

Akin -

Two suggestions I'd make:

1. Pace yourself - don't plan a schedule which is fully booked. Make sure you build in buffer time for absorbing what you are learning, networking and so on.

2. Bring a comfortable pair of shoes.

I still find business cards valuable; they offer a way to connect to people beyond immediate phone usage.

Great advice so far! Global Summit in Phoenix will also be my first time attending a PMI event, so I appreciate hearing the perspectives from community members who've attended before.

Hello all - are you still on the fence about attending Global Summit? If so, there is still time to register. Check out the event's page
to capture all the new sessions added this year, such as extended time for networking and exiting excursions!
We also have a short video for those who haven't a PMI Live event that provides 'tips and tricks' before you go!

Enjoy, and hope to see you on site!

Hi Akin, I will travel all the way from France, and it will be my third participation. The way I prepare: I have my LinkedIn QR code ready, and I take the mobile phones of people I want to meet. I did not do it the first year, and I did not meet them. The summit is HUGE, HUGE! But it is really great for networking and collaborations. I have a DOT card. I do not have business cards.
