BIM is a system which used from the design to the construction and throughout the operation phase of a structure.
There are different software tools are used like Revit, Allplan or Primavera for design, planning or facility management in BIM.
You can see architectural, structural and mep (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) models of a building in one place thanks to BIM.
And also, it can be integrated the other technologies such as IoT and CIS for CIM (City Information Modeling).

What are the your experiences about BIM?

In my experience, Autodesk Revit-based BIM workflows remarkably upgrade coordination between architectural, structural, and MEP teams. With coordinated models, teams can identify design conflicts early through processes like MEP clash detection services, minimizing costly rework during construction. BIM also supports better scheduling, cost control, and facility management, especially when linked with tools like Oracle Primavera P6 for project planning.
Well said, I always faced Civil and MEP miscoordination and design issues in aligning both department during construction phase. BIM has resolved this issue.

In BIM, different disciplines' superposition is very important. And, this situation is clarified at design phase. And then, construction phase must be applied.

Adoption of BIM in the Singapore construction industry is encouraged by the government through initiatives and mandatory requirements.
Also, BIM must be used at goverment projects. Also, organizations can be founded like buildingSMART in the UK.

One of the benefits of BIM is coordination design and construction phases. Thank you Sarah.

IN TUNISIA BIM IS STILL NOT USED AS A PROCESS
Maybe, like Singapore, goverment must encourage the private sector.

I have been working with BIM since 2013, through Navisworks across architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines, as well as in oil and gas projects. My main focus has been on clash detection and resolving coordination issues during the design stage, well before execution at site.
This proactive approach has significantly reduced rework and saved both time and cost on projects. In the Middle East, BIM has now become mandatory for almost all construction projects, and it continues to play a crucial role in improving project quality, coordination, and overall efficiency.
I agree your every comments. BIM heve been used in Turkey for years.
