Curiosity is not a soft skill. It’s a disciplined capability that helps Business Analysts uncover root causes, challenge assumptions, and deliver real value.

In this session, you will learn how to:

  • Use structured inquiry (5 Whys, Fishbone) to move beyond surface requirements
  • Ask sharper stakeholder questions that build trust and reveal intent
  • Distinguish between symptoms, complaints, and true root causes

The webinar sounds interesting,

Regarding these topics, in many organizations, it’s not lack of capability, sometimes it’s subtle signals from the environment. Time pressure rewards speed over depth. Hierarchy discourages questioning senior stakeholders. Delivery culture sometimes equates probing with “slowing things down.” Over time, BAs learn what is safe to ask and what isn’t.

When curiosity is visibly valued by leadership and linked to better outcomes, questioning becomes strength instead of friction. Without that reinforcement, assumptions may stay unchallenged.
