Golam, I do a quick daily check-in on priorities for all the projects and programs under my umbrella. Taking a few minutes each day to review the project’s key tasks, progress, and any potential blockers helps maintain focus and prevents small issues from becoming bigger problems.

One habit that helps me a lot is capturing decisions immediately. After meetings, I quickly document what was decided, who owns the next step, and any assumptions behind it.
It takes only a few minutes, but it prevents confusion later and keeps accountability clear as the project moves forward.

One important small habit that compounds over time is to catch up informally with stakeholders for a coffee chat or just a quick check-out outside of work hours. even if it's three minutes. All the small gestures compound over time and have a positive impact on the project delivery. It has been proven that communication breakdown is the major cause of project cost overrun. In addition to achieving the project goals, unnecessary costs will also be eliminated.

Documenting Meeting Results (meeting minutes) during the actual meeting and sending out shortly after the meeting is something that helps me keep on track with all of the action items and decisions that were made during these sessions. It also helps with communications to all of the project team members and stakeholders.

One small habit that helps me keep projects on track is ending each day with a quick priority check for the next day.

I spend about 10–15 minutes reviewing progress and marking tasks based on their importance and urgency. I also create a to-do list so I can start the next day with focus and direction, without wasting time figuring out what to do first.
This helps to reduce ambiguity and identify potential delays and blockers that needs to be addressed.

In my experience, one habit that makes a huge difference is following the rule: 'The early bird catches the worm.' I always try to handle my urgent pending tasks first thing in the morning. By clearing the 'urgent' list early, I can then dedicate my full attention and energy to important activities, like preparing for a key interview or a stakeholder meeting, without distractions. It’s all about tackling the urgent early so you can focus on the important later. It really helps keep the project’s momentum!

One small habit that makes a big difference is daily progress check-ins, just a quick review of priorities, blockers, and next steps. It keeps the team aligned, surfaces risks early, and prevents small issues from becoming major delays.
