I’m a young professional based in a rural community ,Zambia, trying to grow in project management while facing the reality that opportunities here are few and remote options even fewer. I’m eager to learn, work hard, and contribute wherever I’m needed, even if it’s on small or short‑term tasks. If anyone has a remote opportunity, a small project, or even a task I could support (like documentation, coordination, communication, or research) where I can also earn something, I’d be deeply grateful if you’d consider me.I’m also looking for gentle guidance or mentorship from those who’ve been where I am now. A piece of advice, a shared lesson, or even a brief chat would mean a lot to me as I try to build a sustainable path forward.

Kahila, it's nice that you are eager to have more Project Management knowledge. I recommend Rita Mulcahy's certification prep; it's a good option to acquire PM Knowledge at your own pace and is updated to the latest exam. Visit this link:

Also, you can search at your PMI Chapter for volunteer roles that let you put into practice the concepts, processes, methodologies, and standards learned.

Kahila, one practical step I’d suggest is connecting with your local PMI chapter, if there is one. They often have volunteer opportunities that can help you gain experience, build connections, and learn from others in the field.

If there isn’t a chapter nearby, you can still log into your PMI profile and explore the Volunteer section. There are often remote opportunities available, and even small roles can give you valuable exposure and help you build credibility over time.

Hope this helps!

kahila kalubwana Starting with fewer opportunities isn’t easy, but it does build resilience.
Focus on small, practical experience, documentation, coordination, anything you can support. Stay active in communities and keep connecting.
