Hello everyone,
I'm a senior PLM product data project manager with over 10 years of experience leading major migrations and integrations across Oracle, Agile PLM, SAP/S4HANA, and Windchill. My work has centered on product data and BOM migration, engineering documentation, system integration, and new workflow process design and alignment.
In my experience, every system integration brings significant challenges: user resistance, uncertainty, and the constant pressure of realigning workflows just to keep products, production, and sales running at minimum viable functionality. But the hardest part is rarely the technology itself. Time and again, the toughest challenges come down to end-user training, engagement, and adoption, getting people comfortable with new systems and adjusting to new workflows.
I'd love to hear from this community:
What user adoption challenges have you faced during system migrations or integrations?
What strategies worked best for you in overcoming resistance and driving adoption?
Any lessons learned (or mistakes to avoid) that you'd be willing to share?
Looking forward to learning from your experiences. Thanks in advance!
