How can I change the chapter included in my membership to a chapter in another country than the one where I reside?

For example, I want to stay connected with the project management community from the country where I was born.

Stelian, didn’t you contact PMI about this? I believe they advised that the chapter automatically included with your membership is the one in the country where you currently live.

I know it’s not ideal, but you could try changing your address to an address in the country where you were born. At that point, they might add your hometown chapter to your membership. I’m just speculating, though.

I had a chat with someone from customer support. They said that this is the 'policy' but I can't find any information. I can live with the change. I tried to get involved with the local chapter, and I see no value. Maybe there are other members who would prefer a chapter that is not necessarily in their country. Maybe the 'policy' can be changed. I posted here because I believe that it is the right place.
