What Makes a Project Workspace Agent-Native?

As AI agents start taking on more project work, I think the bigger question is not simply how to add AI to project management, but whether the workspace itself needs to change.

An agent-native project workspace could treat agents as active participants in delivery rather than just assistants.

For example:

Agents can own clearly defined tasks
Project context is available when they start work
Humans can review and redirect their work
Multiple agents can work in parallel
Decisions and activity remain visible to the project team
The PM still controls priorities, scope, and approvals

I’ve been looking at Sharkly.ai, which takes this approach by putting human teammates and AI agents into the same project workspace.

For project managers here, what would you consider the most important characteristic of an agent-native project workspace?

Is it task ownership, shared context, accountability, or something else?
