As a newer member of ProjectManagement.com, I have been impressed by how generously members share their knowledge in the discussion forums. It made me curious how far this support goes in practice.
Forum discussions clearly offer valuable views and suggestions. But I would like to understand whether, and how, the community has helped members in more practical ways. I would appreciate hearing your experiences:
- Beyond discussion: Apart from advice, has the community supported you in other ways, such as sharing templates, tools, reviewing your approach, or pointing you to useful resources?
- Mentoring and networking: Have forum connections ever led to mentoring, collaboration, job opportunities or professional referrals for you?
- Career impact: Has being active in the community had a measurable effect on your career, credibility or professional visibility?
- Best practice for new members: What would you recommend to a new member who wants to get the most value from the community while also contributing back?
- Chapter engagement: How has combining online community activity with local PMI chapter involvement helped your development?
