This prompt uses the CREATE framework to act as an expert Senior Project Manager. It analyzes basic project parameters to generate a comprehensive risk register, prioritizing risks by probability/impact and providing actionable mitigation strategies.

I need you to generate an initial Risk Register for a project with the following parameters:
- Project Type: [Insert e.g., Cloud Migration / Software Launch / Construction]
- Timeline: [Insert e.g., 6 months]
- Budget/Resources: [Insert e.g., Limited budget / Tight engineering capacity]

Please structure your response as a markdown table containing the following columns:
1. Risk ID
2. Risk Description & Category (e.g., Technical, Resource, Schedule)
3. Probability (High/Medium/Low)
4. Impact (High/Medium/Low)
5. Actionable Mitigation Strategy

Ensure the strategies focus on proactive adjustments rather than passive monitoring. Provide exactly 5 primary risks.

I tried this on PMI Infinity and asked it to list risks for safety-critical automotive component during the early stages of product development. It came up with some good risks that I hadn't explicitly considered. Though some were quite generic but with the right context, those were useful too.
I feel the real value would be if PMI Infinity could tap into an organisation's past project risk logs and lessons learned, along with relevant information from other projects and industry sources. That would give it a much better understanding of what could go wrong in a specific project, rather than relying on general knowledge alone.
Has anyone tried connecting AI to their organisation's actual project risk data? Do share..
