I manage and deliver AI projects of 3 months and 6 months duration, and we follow the agile process. We have successfully delivered projects following the agile ceremonies, stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint review and sprint retrospective, using a sprint duration of 3 weeks.
Now that coding assistants are being used for code generation, what changes are required in how we manage projects?
I think FDE project management and agentic AI coding projects may need a different PM methodology and style. The pace, the way work is tracked and the way we talk to customers could all look different, so it may be worth experimenting rather than assuming the current cadence fits.
Has anyone already tried something different on a project like this? I'd love to hear what worked and what didn't.
