In addition, could you recommend sites offering PDUs free of charge?

www.itmpi.org IT Metrics and Productivity Institute offers webinars. You can report the PDU as category B, Continuing Education in case you don't want to pay them a fee for category A. Also, projectinsight.net offers free webinars worth PDUs, also category B.

I completed my PDU requirements for PMP certification using following ways for last cycle.
1. Use your professional experience if applicable
2. Project Management courses- I completed Prince 2 course from simplilearn, there are many other sites which you can find online
3. PMI volunteer activities

I have used this three options in past, but I am sure there are many other options which may apply.

The live webinars of itmpi.org are mostly at 11:00 AM EST, which is roughly 9:30 PM in India... a slightly inconvenient time.... and the recorded ones are payable...

Like Krunal, I like to use a variety of approaches for my PDUs. I try to use webinars to either introduce or refresh knowledge. My PM and volunteer work apply and refine my skills.
