I was audited in my application and was successfully approved to write the exam after I submitted all the required documents and attestations. I do recall seeing a stipulation on my audit notification that failing an audit or withdrawing your application will require re-applying and you will be subject to automatic audit.
Well don't know for a fact, but it seems that failing an audit and reaplying you're subject to an automatic audit.
Luckily for me even though I was audited again and after I took my time to comply with every detail requested; I approved the audit the second way around.
With this, I have personally experience all the stages of PMI actions...
Student, Teacher, Certification with no Audit, Certification with an Audit, Certification after failing an Audit and reaplying the Audit.
I can now close this question trail...
Interestingly I can share my lessons learned with my students with facts :) Saving Changes...

I agree with Mounir, to my understanding, the audit process is random however, it appears the more times a person applies the greater the probability. Saving Changes...
I withdrew my application after I was audited for my PMI-RMP. When I re-submitted, it automatically audited me again. The second time around, I was able to satisfy the audit. Saving Changes...

I didn't withdrew my application after I was audited for my PMI-SP. Failed the audit. Did my application for a second time, didn't withdrew it either and I was also "randomly" :) audited. Passed the audit. Passed the test after. Saving Changes...

Well, dispite I my many certifications and epericience I myself recently failed and audit, and as we speak I'm about to re-schedule the test and hit apply payment.
My wonder is? will I be audited again? I just wanted to know if someone have had this experience before.
This was for the PMI-SP test...
Once you're flagged you're flagged meaning that when you re-apply you will be re-audited Saving Changes...

I know someone who failed an audit. I don't recall the exact reason, but it had something to do with her job title. The rejection letter stated that she could reapply, but that any future applications would be subject to automatic audit.
This is a tough situation. PMI needs to maintain the integrity of their certifications, but the audit process is grueling. I don't know what the average is, but I had to track down project team members over the span of 6 years. If I knew in advance that I had to do that again, I probably wouldn't bother applying.

Wade, thanks for your reply.... It seems that it is a reality if you fail an audit you're likely to be audited again once you re-aply...
