Progressive Elaboration vs Rolling Wave Planning

Oftem times it can be understood easily but sometimes not so easy when trying to explain this concept to students.

Rolling Wave Planning is a form of progressive elaboration but is progressive elaboration a form a Rolling Wave Planning?

If I was correct in my explanation, the PMBOK Guide Fifth Edition mentions Rolling Wave Planning as a form a Progressive Elaboration.

No George, the Sixth Edition still references Rolling Wave Planning as a form of progressive elaboration in the Define Activities process write-up on page 185..
