An additional premise is that your sample test as well distributed according to PMP Exam contents, so have all the assumptions in mind when respoding.

It depends on each person. Foundation must be strong; else attempting thousands of question will make no sense. Mock questions originate mainly from PMBOK hence it is advised in all boot camp to refer PMBOK for all queries and doubts.

PMI eReads & Reference (Books 24x7) had great resource. Not sure why this is closed. I referred to PMBOK, Attempted Mock Questions from PMP Exam Prep by Christopher Scordo, and Q & As for the PMBOK Guide by Frank T Anbari.

Referred PMP Study Guide from Diane Altwies and Janice Preston with access to online mock questions for 45 days, this was very helpful.

All of these contributed more than 2000+ questions. I will not advise anyone to base percentage scored in mock exam as preparation for the actual exam. All you need is strong PM foundation, PMBOK and 1-2 study guides for exam preparation. Last but not the least a good boot camp.

At least 2000 questions... But as someone said earlier it also depends on your level of experience, familiarity with PM knowledge and concepts

1. Try to gain "Guru" badge from projectmanagement.com This at-least covers important definitions, jargons in PMBOK :) Makes you to read PMBOK in more detail.
[Make sure to skip the answered questions]

2. Try to answer situational questions as much as possible (minimum 1000), there are lots of mock exams available.

I feel it depends more on understanding n score u getting in mock tests or Rita or any other practice exams.
Thumb rule -
above 70% - Rita
above 80% - sample questions for other sources.

Shaija - Thanks for sharing this, especially because you're making the note that Rita's exam prep is sometimes a bit easy... They're good, but in my personal opinion.... This is very objective, because I use Rita as a must in my preparation for all PMI tests....
