Hi, let's not spend time on questions count :) one should attempt as many as from different sources.. certainly should give TWO full mocks before exam.

as many suggested here, its all depend on preparation and time. I mean if you are targeting to give exam with in 3months, that may require 1000+ or so.. if the exam target is 6months, you may attempt 2000+ or so, even more.. More over try with multiple options like standalone mocks, Mobile Apps, online mocks, your own Notes with questions etc..

Narasimha - Great insight... Comments like these give us a broad understanding on the different approaches to follow. I'm sure students will value your inputs when reading this.

I think you're right, the number of questions and the number of mock exams has to be a factor of the time you have to study. (seems pretty obvious right)

Good luck for those on their way to certification, and remember to practice as Narasimha indicates.

Hi Denise,

200? ... really ...this means just one complete mock exam ...
sorry, but i have to disagree strongly here.

Practicing as most sample questions and mock exams you can is they key to PMP exam success.
And doing at least 2 to 3 complete and fully loaded exam simulations is mandatory from my perspective.
Only by doing sample questions/mock exams you would be able to figure out your knowledge gaps and weak areas, but therefore it would be necessary to do much more sample questions than just 200 ...

Or did i miss something here?

Regards,

Markus

For me, I had to take several mock exams. I took Rita's at least 4 times and that alone was 800 questions and that did not include the other mock exams that I took. However, I do believe that you have to increase your level of accuracy. You can answer a million questions and if you do not increase your level of accuracy, then it will not matter how many questions you answered.

As much as you can do, just do it but if you feel the questions look familiar then stop it. number doesn't matter.

I had a very good teacher from an institute, and he used to ask questions from previous chapters as a practice, and we used to prepare for the questions beforehand. On each module this practice was happening. Before we attended the exams, we had sufficient preparation with 2,500 sample question bank from which we used to prepare.

Proud to say that with enough preparation you can definitely make it. Live example is that when I used to prepare for classes during my pre-engineering days, for 10+1, we had a math class. Our teacher, after writing down the question from one text book, told all of us, that it is not possible to solve this question. But since I had visited the library and had a look at exactly the same question and how it was solved, I was able to explain to the teacher, and the teacher in turn explained it to the class. No boasting, but giving hope to those who procrastinate and may be still in the process of getting certified if it inspires.
