Dear George, it's a question worth mentioning. Since the PMP questions are mostly scenario-based questions, I would suggest PMP candidates first to acquire enough practical experience on project management. Candidates possess such experience mostly encounter no difficulties in passing PMP exam, but pre-exam tests will enable you to know the areas you should concentrate most or you're weak at.

For the PMP exam it's good to read a book like one by Rita Mulcahy, or take a course. There are many good courses out there, like Dan Ryan (The PM Coach), Cornelius Fichtner (PM PrepCast), Joseph Phillips (on Udemy). But, you should also go through hundreds, maybe even a couple of thousand practice questions. You need to do many questions to see the patterns that emerge, and to be able to answer a question within a minute or so.
Cornelius Fichtner's PM PrepCast company sells monthly access to 1600 practice questions. 70% is considered a pass in the PM PrepCast exam simulator. You should be making at least 75-80% or more on the simulator exams, in order to be able to pass the PMP exam.
