What is the best approach for managing the same resource team for multiple projects using MS Project?

Thanks,

Thanks Patrick for this suggestion. We are not looking into purchasing the server.

I have used James' solution to do enterprise resourcing. As Patrick alluded, Project sub-projects are not really made for that purpose.

I found it convoluted and very hard to manage. I've tried it both with the resources in the master project and in a sub-project of its own. Neither solution are great and have their own set of problems.

I agree Stephane... Even putting aside the issue of enterprise resourcing, MS Project becomes quite convoluted when dealing with linked projects and/or master/subprojects. I recommend avoiding it and finding other solutions whenever possible (may just require processes be put in place).
