High EI - Emotional Intelligence will help in such situations. If developed carefully this skill, I am sure people can stay competitive as well as successful in VUCA world.

Self-awareness - This will help in doing SWOT and keeping right expectations

Motivation, Passion, Energy - Keeping up with self motivation
Empathy for others - working together

This month I have the honor to publish a short article inside the PM Network publication (links below, page 73 , "Perfectly Positioned" in the english version/page 68, "Perfectamente Posicionado" in the spanish version). I think is what we need, no matter that if you make some research it is not new (Ford Motors 1937, Toyota Motors 1917, Tom Peters and others 1970, USA DoD NSF/Agility Forum 1990). So, nothing new behind the sun about what organizations need to survive in this type of environments (VUCA, another buzzword? (hehehehehe))
