I was curious on integration of HRMS data with Project Management tool while preparing any Project Schedule. We do consider standard buffer, but can we integrate the HR data of resources in Project and have more accurate buffer which will help in developing project schedule with realistic data. I was thinking about data like resources birthday, anniversary and trend of leaves they have taken for possibly festival, summer/winter vacations? This may be possible if the PM know the team for long time but for a PM joining a new team would need some data points to accommodate such buffers in the schedule.
In many project when we prepare initial schedule, we don't have clarity on the project team but once we have resource details we can keep on improving the schedule to make it more realistic.
I tried to search but could see integration at time tracking or leave/payroll perspective but not reverse where the data will help PM in schedule management.
There could be tools which I was not able find :)
Do share your experience and inputs.

From a traditional thinking standpoint, I believe you would be looking for an ERP with the HR and Project Management modules implemented. IFS may be an example.

Since these are robust software applications, they are generally heavy on costs, implementation time etc.

Hope others can chime in with new simplified options.

Time sheet integration is usually what you want from HR systems in your PMIS. I would be careful about trying to integrate non-transactional data or personal-identification information (PII). Neither are a good fit.

Thank you Stephane, yes time sheet integration for payroll and accounting purpose is what I have seen. I wanted to check how much leave trend based on personal data of critical resources will help in better schedule planning and management. Again this is thought and wanted to check others views on its feasibility.
