How to overcome work related challenge and motivate the team?

My general rules are:

1. Be proactive, address risk areas before they turn into issues/problems
2. REALIZE that no matter how hard you try, issues will come up. We cannot control 100% of the outcome. Be mentally PREPARED
3. In all things, maintain a positive attitude (I relate this back to the quote you provided above)

There is always area of improvements for all. Keep faith and trust your team, and be together to achieve the KPI and goals that you have setting.

Most employers now run behaviour tests to ensure the best fit of new employees in roles. For example, my current employer uses Predictive Index. It can be interesting to see what are people's tendencies.

As for your immediate problem, you have to spend time with each individual to get a sense of what motivates them and what makes them excited. Treat these as positive risks and exploit them.
