At a corporate level - I am interested in hearing out from PM with experience in integrating MS Project 2010 and Navision 2015, although experiences with other versions might also apply.

Thank you in advance for your feedback!

Microsoft Project Professional gives you powerful new ways to effectively manage important projects. Unlock easy collaboration capabilities to quickly start and deliver winning projects while leveraging the power of Office 365 or SharePoint to work from virtually anywhere. Make communication instantaneous through seamless integration of Skype for Business to call or instant message team members from Project Professional. Extend Project’s functionality with Apps for Office to meet your specific business needs.
Manage anywhere with tools to keep you connected with your team and on top of your projects while you’re on the go.
•Share the latest status, conversations, and Project Timeline through a dedicated project site with improved integration between Project and Office 365 (or SharePoint).
•Create your project site with a few simple clicks to quickly share project details with your team, keeping everyone connected and organized.

Deliver effective presentations that offer immediate insight into task planning, resource allocation, cost efficiencies, and the many important details of your projects.
•The Project multiple timeline view helps you visualize your project to deliver stellar presentations to your team, executives, and stakeholders.
•Easily share insights that help you better communicate progress and achieve results.
•Use out-of-the-box reports such as Burndown and Resource Overview, or create your own with a familiar Excel-like experience to quickly measure progress and communicate effectively with your team, executives and stakeholders.
•Easily copy and paste from Project to familiar Office applications like Word and PowerPoint without losing fidelity or the ability to make changes to labels and styles.

Microsoft Dynamics NAV is a global enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution that provides small and midsize businesses greater control over their financials and can simplify their supply chain, manufacturing, and operations. It's quick to implement and easy to use, with the power to support your growth ambition.
You can set up Microsoft Dynamics NAV to be available as an app for SharePoint. This means that Microsoft Dynamics NAV data can be shown in a SharePoint site, and that you can modify the data on the SharePoint site through the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Web client.
You can deploy Microsoft Dynamics NAV as an app for SharePoint Online and SharePoint on-premises.
The users' access to Microsoft Dynamics NAV is not restricted to the page that you expose in SharePoint. You must assign the relevant permissions to each user in Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
To integrate with SharePoint, you must have a Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server and Microsoft Dynamics NAV Web Server instance. These components can be deployed on-premise or on a cloud service, such as Microsoft Azure
When you have built your app for SharePoint in Visual Studio, you must publish it in order to create the deployment package. Depending on your scenario, you can deploy the app to SharePoint in different ways.
For example, you can publish the app to the SharePoint store so that it is accessible for others to install on their SharePoint sites.

Sameh, are you saying that we can or cannot integrate MS Project and Navision?

Agree with Samuel. I appreciate the information given by Sameh, but it is not yet clear to me whether Navision and MS Project may be integrated.

For instance;

1. Once the Gantt chart (with tasks, subtasks, durations, dependencies, resources, etc.) is completed, can it be "imported" into Navision?

2. When team members claim the effort invested in Navision (i.e. on a weekly basis, for the assigned tasks), can it be automatically linked to the plan in MS Project?

3. What other functionalities may be integrated? i.e. job forecast, calendars, etc.

Thanks!

Sorry Eduard, I don’t have any experience of this to help you, but I am interested to read about its capabilities as described by Sameh, it would be very useful to have here too (if it integrates properly with MS Project). I am trying to work out all the pre-requisites & hence what it may cost to implement with an app. So far I can work out :

MS Project Professional version client licences
MS Sharepoint client licences
MS Sharepoint physical server/VM
MS Sharepoint server licence
MS Dynamics NAV physical server/VM
MS Dynamics NAV physical web server/VM
MS Dynamics NAV server licences
MS Dynamics NAV client licences
MS Visual Studio Professional client licence

Skillsets needed- Sharepoint & Visual Studio developer skills

Is this correct/ is there anything else that I have missed?
