I have a CAPM certification and I am wanting to further my career. After working on several projects I have noticed I enjoy working with numbers and was thinking about obtaining my PMI-PBA. Is this a route anyone would suggest? I was also thinking about SCRUM.

Anything helpful I appreciate.

Besides the valuable comments above I suggest: 1-understand what a business analyst is. 2-take a look to all documentation inside the PMI certification web site, understand the documentation and take into account if you can apply. 3-there are lot of things changing with the role and the certification. I was one of the first five person to obtain the certification and in that time the basement was the PMBOK plus a list of reference books. Today you have the practice guide. In the near future you will have something similar to the PMBOK. 4-this is a certification where real experience in the field is needed to answer the exam questions.

Hi Dustin, You should start with a training course and prepare using the training material. Your course instructor would be able to give you the right advice. You can attend online training for PMP-PBA. I would suggest you to look at following: Simplilearn PMI-RMP Course - Simplilearn is a PMI REP. This course has many small quizzes. It is available at 25% discount till 12/13. If you want to SCRUM, you can opt for scrumalliance.org course. They are the pioneers but you will have to attend their classroom course. Otherwise, you can go for EXIM Scrum Master from Simplilearn Good luck.
