Quite an in depth article:
http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2016/06...nama-canal.html

I was not involved in the project but followed it from the sidelines. My personal experience having worked in the construction industry in Panama for a number of years is that cultural differences tend to be the biggest challenge in multi-national projects, and I can imagine that even between the 'closer' Germanic and Latin EU partners it's an issue too.

Hi! Basically this Megaproject was performed under the Design & Build Delivery Method due to the urgency and need of the market. More than 10,000 technical workforce and a very difficult labor union were involved and were managed by a strong Project Management structure from the APC (Panama Canal Authority) and succeeded solving all the emerging issues until they reach their objectives.

If you want more details of this project you can go to the link below, which is the official website for the APC (contracts, milestones and more documents)

Karen - I saw the link and read, but it has a lot of information that's not PM related, I really wanted an extract of PM methodology or PM experiences... For example what do you mean Design & Build Delivery Method?
