I have noticed that some people have the Block this person option enabled.

Is there a reason, it is not enabled for all? or why some has it and some don't. What's for?

Good Question George - I do not have the block button at all. PMI I believe should work on improving this function. They should:

1- Add Block feature for all.
2- Remove Feature when you enter the person profile, not when you go to your list.
2- Undo the Add if you added someone by mistake.

I have only had to remove one person from my network. He insisted on using projectmanagement.com e-mail to promote his company's products. I also reported him to projectmanagement.com staff.

I have not seen any functionality to Block anyone. I can Remove someone from my network. I did remove two who, as happened to John, were phishing for information.

I'm certain we have received emails sent to our PM.Com inbox where individuals are seeking employment and ask for our emails to send their resumes, I have anyhow, sorry, not today. In addition, numerous surveys with links and in this day and age, its simply not safe if the person is an acquaintance half way across the world or across the street.

I'm happy that the very few I email once per week at this site (like Ste'phane in the above) trust me when I simply send a simple hello and talk about this site.

Any person want to recommend a great cyber security stock to purchase? :-)

I agree that this is a good question. I have the remove button in my network, but I have not seen a block button.

It looks like the "Block this person" appears when viewing the profile of someone not currently in your network. Probably so that if you receive a connection request and upon viewing the persons profile you decide you do not want to be connected or receive further requests, you can block them from sending to you. At least that's what it looks like to me.

Once connected, you can probably remove then block if needed.

I can remove someone but don't see the block option either. Guess it is seen only in some profiles

In the "edit personal profile " last checkbox is "Temporary block profile" but that is your profile.
I have not see that option for individual people.
