I see two trends in this community. Some people tend to ask a lot of questions. Others tend to answer questions asked by others.
While both roles are necessary in any community, do you think people should tend towards one extreme? Or do you feel each person should contribute both ways? Saving Changes...
That's a good suggestion about votes for Thank yous, agreements Maria! That would somewhat reduce the clutter especially with questions which have lots of answers.
I firmly believe that you start asking more questions as you read more and more answers. You never know when you might come across a topic for new discussion while reading the answers itself. More often than not, I try to read all the answers as that gives me an outside perspective for the same question (something that I can draw knowledge from). I take that as a learning and try to implement them. Saving Changes...

First of all, sorry but my reply, is a little more long that I was expecting when I started to write. As an answer from my point of view each person should contribute as they feel more confident.
@George Lewis, mentioned something about the aggressive responses. Regarding this, I agree with @Stépane Parent, cultural differences are one point that we not only need to manage in our daily work environment, also in our behavior when we make a question, answer it or in general in this community.
Sometimes the English is not the native language (as in my case), and my answers or questions could be misunderstood. I usually try to verify my grammar, or use some neutral expressions, but not always it works as I would like.
@Mounir Agar, also made a reference about redundancy commentaries. Completely agree.
Did you realize that there are a lot of answers as Agree, Thank you, Sure.
From my point of view those answers could be substituted by one vote in the answer or question, but it seems that there are some people that are only worried about their influence rate, instead make real contributions to the community, but anyway is only my opinion without fundaments.
I’ve recognized that I used before this ¨Post anonymous¨ or during my first connections only read the questions or the answers. Why? Easy…I was shy, I felt that my contributions don’t have enough value compared with some of the contributors with a lot of experience, a lot of certifications, or huge number of contributions.
Finally I would like to encourage all the ¨shy¨ people to contribute, answer question, creating new discussions, all people is welcome and I’ve never felt ignored or ashamed about my questions or answers.
Ajam :) not Agar or Agree :) just having fun with you Maria Saving Changes...

Agree with Maria that some just want to comment so they get points - but this is life. People wants a piece of the limelight (glory) Saving Changes...
Ups! Sorry @Mounir Ajam, I have to check my spelling twice. :)
Regarding ¨glory¨I would recommend a speech Emmanuel Faber Speech - HEC Graduation Ceremony 2016 [English Version] Saving Changes...

Stéphane, can I take it one step further?
I see the many of the same questions asked again and again by a large group of different people.
I also see the same answers given again and again by the same few people.

As for asking the same question again, Wade, I suspect this is due to newness to the site. I expect new PMI members come to the community with questions and don't know enough to search the discussions for similar questions.
As for the same answers by the same few people, can you clarify if you mean individuals using the same answer or do you mean a group of people using the same answer? Please note that the first issue you pointed out might be creating the second issue.

I think there's a growing (or changing) body of users who ask the same questions. We welcome new users, and I wouldn't expect a new user to search past discussions for similar questions. Better to simply ask and keep the community engaged.
There's a smaller subset of existing users who tend to answer questions, so when similar questions are asked, we tend to get the same answers.
This is not a complaint, it's just an observation.

Jumping in to this hot subject to get my points too. Just joking.
I feel this is a very good fourm to get advice from all around the world. We can learn from our peers in other counties. This fourm has some awesome contributors that take the time to share their knowledge to help you understand the answer to your question.
Some very good questions and topics have been posed on this fourm too.

It is also a good forum to learn how to think about your questions properly. When you have to clarify or explain your question, you are thinking through your concern. That process helps us think better.
