I will say Collaborate, and it depends on how you present your case with whom you are resolving such conflict. I have seen peers who use force, however the relationships usually are affected.

Conflict management one of the important areas which project manager should have strong knowledge to manage it

Conflict can be internally between team members or / and externally between stakeholders due to many reasons so first step is to identify the conflicting parties and the cause of conflict then refer to agreed reference such as standard , codes , eithcs and etc... To solve it

All depend on context, but I would see if collaborate can work first.

Collaborate should provide the best result in first touch. Nevertheless when positions are very distant and blocked sometimes forces must be used (unless relationships can be affected as stated by Christian Velazquez).

I consider these 5 options not as techniques but as outcomes of conflict resolution. A conflict that has an outcome of forcing is not solved but may re-surface soon.
I define a conflict as an argument between 2 people. My most used technique is:
1. identify and acknowledge the emotions of both parties
2. remove the triggers for the emotions - the conflict becomes a problem
3. make sure everybody has the same level of information (this solves then 50% of all perceived problems)
4. if not solved, deploy problem management strategies - which will result in collaboration and a win-win situation without negative emotions on any side
