I wish to pursue my career in project management in future. I have around 3 years of work experience in database management. After a lot of try I could get a chance to work on a project (i am completely responsible to implementation, setup , migration and improvement of process) in a new company i joined. In this particular task I will also get international exposure.
I also plan to do executive MBA in future.

I always wanted to work in field of project management and I did get a chance to work on a project. As I am not yet meeting the requirement of PMP, will a prince 2 certification help me in future to move in field of project management.

Thank you in advance for your help and time.

Project Management knowledge and skill is a specialized domain, where you will learn through your experience by executing the project deliverables. Since you have opportunity to work in this domain under your new role, it is a good opening for you. Certification and education can give only a guidance. Applying those skills on the job is a challenging one. Always have a mentor and seniors advice while performing this role.

Mithul,
Yes you can go for Prince2 certification for now and once eligible for PMP make sure you apply for the same. Prince2 are more of guidelines whereas PMP offers in depth study of end to end Project management process with various tools and techniques. Also as Rangavittal Vasuprakash said finally everything boils down to application of you knowledge.

Long answer short ..... of course having any kind of specialized Project Management Certification will help you into moving to play the role of a Project Manager in the future.
From what I read in your question you may be better suited to take the CAPM test for the time being. You may read all the needed details about this certification by following these links:
