I use WBS Chart PRO to create WBS. However, I find it is not good for write WBS dictionary. Because I had to write the WBS dictionary in excel, and then give them a link to the WBS. I don't know whether it is a good practices? Whether anybody have experience of this?

Thanks in advance.

Chihui, the best practices is to have a WBS dictionary. How you choose to capture and maintain it is at your discretion.

Thanks. The maintain method is just the matter that troubling me. I want to find a way to easy keep the dictionary, easy to find it out, and easy to communicate with colleagues. So I want to simple integrated it in tools, we could see the WBS dictionary through simple double click the WBS component, and can be saved in one file with WBS. Is it possible?

MindMapping Software might be good because you can draw the WBS and in the Notes Field you can add the text that you want --- then export all to MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint or PDF

I use Mind Manager

One of the fiew things I ever, ever use in every project is the WBS dictionary. In my case, is a word or xcell and no more than that. This is critical to avoid ambiguity. As Mounir stated above, sometimes we use MindMapping software.

Thanks. Do you save each WBS component's WBS dictionary in one excel file, or in separate file?
