Hello Everyone!

Hope you all to be in good state of health.

Is it reliable to do 35 Contact Hours of Formal Education online from "Proxalt, A Management Training Institute"? They will offer me the certificate after completion of each module and passing the final exam conducted in their course.

Does this Project Management Education matches with PMP Eligiblity Requirements?

here is the link:

Kindly advice me, your response will be highly appreciated.

Thanks & Best Regards!
Sharique

Check at https://www.pmi.org/certifications/types/project-management-pmp.

You need a certificate that you completed successfully a formal course with 35h or more.

I believe this one you mentioned will work well.

You have to carefully review the certification handbook and to understand it. The PMI will not request to you any demostration about you stated is true. That will happend if you are selected to be audted.

Kindly check if they are REP (Registered Education Partner). You can check it in PMI site. If yes, then I hope they will give you a certificate stating that you undertook 35 hour training which satisfies the exam requirement. Hope this helps.

Sorry Venkata, but you do not need to take the courses with a REP or PMI partner. For example, if the organization where you are working deliver an internal course that could count as formal education hours. That is because I firmly believe that the best way is to read the certification handbook and if a doubt persists contact the PMI.

Hello Sharique,

i can't say much to proxalt since i didn't know them yet, but what i can say is, that the PMPrepcast will earn you the 35 contact hours for sure!

Please have a look here:

Prep Cast: ? http://goo.gl/KUPFBG

After two weeks since you have paid for it you can take a little test (25 questions) and after passing it (you can try as often as you need, unlimited!) you will earn your 35 contact hours certificate.

Regards, Markus Klein, PMP

Hi Sharique,

I answerd this Q on linkedin also but for the benefit of readers on this forum, I am repeating it.

I looked the webpage you mentioned. It does not look like a good course to me. It says that the course is based on 4th ed. (which might be a typo). But the company has not given any sample videos or material. It is providing only 30 days access and only 50 Q for practice. I think this is very little.

You should read this article - http://www.pmbypm.com/best-pmp-online-training-course/ It compares 7 popular online courses and determines the best one. The article will also give you insight into what to look for in a PMP course.

I would recommend Career Academy (http://bit.ly/2fnjzjJ) for PMP training and exam prep courses. They have a good price for their annual membership and they are PMI Registered Education Provider (REP). Career Academy is an institution that offers online on-demand video-based learning solutions for IT Networking, Cyber Security, Project Management and Office Professionals. You can prepare for the certification exams by taking courses from Career Academy.

Agree with some of the commented before and I add a little more.

- Review the certification handbook in order to understand the requirements.
- Ensure that the course is based on the last version of PMBOK
- Ask yourself your favorite method of study, not all people love online training.
- Review your budget and look for the option that will fit your requirements

Please note that you can also apply university courses for your contact hours. That's what I did for my three certifications.
