I was part of the team. The best source of information is the PMI itself. They will ask your questions. On the other side, when you are part of a local chapter and mainly if you act as a group of interest leader (I was) you will see how this types of things are manage as projects (the Global PMI demmads that to each local chapter). But let me say that is the same than other projects started by a business case and followed by a project charter. Saving Changes...

Each project requires varying degrees of each knowledge area. PM's should be using these knowledge areas on current projects. Hopefully this will allow the project to meet the triple constraints set forth by the project owner.
As I wrote above, my recommendation is asking to the PMI directly or being part of a local chapter where you will give the information about the process because the process is the same as the PMI Global.
