Wondering if anyone has a job description for a CPO they would be willing to share? I have done my on line search for positions in Canada and it hasn't turned up a lot. I have found lots of literature on why organizations need a CPO, but am really looking for a non theoretical job description that translates all of the research into what an operational CPO does.

Hello! Can I ask you what do you mean by CPO? I have not heard that term. Just curious!

If you mean Chief Project Officer then I personally have never heard of this position before unless you mean Chief Procurement Officer.

The Chief PROJECT Officer is a position that some organizations who have adopted project management as a core function have also introduced this C-Suite Role. I have only known two or three people with this title since it is relatively new.

The role would be like any other person on the CxO list, participate in executive management decision and lead all aspects of project management. This person may lead the head the cPMO or Portfolio Management Office and will be responsible for the Org. PM System, Policies, etc.
