PMXPO & Conferences
I see many badges for people who attended PMXPO's and difference conferences. Is it an option to attend these online ? And should attendence be at the time of occurence ? How are those badges earned exactly ?

Hi Rami,

PMXPO is online event, you can register and attend live/on-demand. Each webinar you attend will earn you a PDU.

I believe, to earn the badge you have to attend the entire event.

PMXPO 2016, online event held on THURSDAY, April 28, 2016 at 10:30AM ET

Anupam,

Thanks a lot for the infirmation. I have 3 more questions:

1- Can't you watch the whole event for previous PMXPO's now for example amd earn those badges ?
2- Do you have to register in advance ?
3- You have to reserve your whole day and open on your ipad or laptop on the event live and watch the events ?
Hey Rami,

I've obtained conference badges through a mixture of live and on-demand attendance. I usually register in advance for those events - not sure if you can "register" after it's over.

If you watch the on-demand presentations, be careful that you don't pause them too long. I've found that after 30 minutes, it often does not restart where it left.

You usually have a couple of weeks after the live event to view the presentations. I usually take a few days to catch up on the presentations.

Rami,

After the event is over, it will be available on-demand for some time. During this period, if you register and watch the event in full, you earn the badge, and PDUs.

For example, PMXPO 2016 was available on-demand until July 28, 2016.

As a PMI member you should be getting email for all such events much in advance. It's better to register early to confirm your place.

PMXPO 2016 started around 10:30 AM ET & concluded 8:30 PM ET, that is 8 PM - 6 AM India time. I watched the entire event live, all evening & all night :)

It actually depends, whether you wish to watch live event, or on-demand. In my case, I prefer live events.

Hope this helps.

Anupam,

Thanks again for your great feedback.

You should be a superman to be able to attend10 hours event straight - How did you feel afterwards ?

Since you've experienced this, I would like to ask:

1- What time zone those events follow ?

2- I noticed the on-demand event is in parts so in order to earn the badge, I have to watch all parts ?

Thanks,
RK

I have missed the discussions, Anupam. It was a pretty busy summer for me. I'm looking forward to having more time to get involved with the community again.

I recently watched the PMI Agility Conference On Demand. Though the PDUs have been awarded, I haven't got the badge. Are there only specific conferences, that could be watched On Demand, for the badges to be awarded?
May be I need to get in touch with the support team!
