I see many badges for people who attended PMXPO's and difference conferences. Is it an option to attend these online ? And should attendence be at the time of occurence ? How are those badges earned exactly ? Saving Changes...

Hey Rami,
I've obtained conference badges through a mixture of live and on-demand attendance. I usually register in advance for those events - not sure if you can "register" after it's over.
If you watch the on-demand presentations, be careful that you don't pause them too long. I've found that after 30 minutes, it often does not restart where it left.
You usually have a couple of weeks after the live event to view the presentations. I usually take a few days to catch up on the presentations.
Hello Stephane,
Thanks a lot for your feedback, much appreciated. I agree with Anupam, glad to see you are back on board.

Rami,
After the event is over, it will be available on-demand for some time. During this period, if you register and watch the event in full, you earn the badge, and PDUs.
For example, PMXPO 2016 was available on-demand until July 28, 2016.
As a PMI member you should be getting email for all such events much in advance. It's better to register early to confirm your place.
PMXPO 2016 started around 10:30 AM ET & concluded 8:30 PM ET, that is 8 PM - 6 AM India time. I watched the entire event live, all evening & all night :)
It actually depends, whether you wish to watch live event, or on-demand. In my case, I prefer live events.
Hope this helps.
Anupam,
Thanks again for your great feedback.
You should be a superman to be able to attend10 hours event straight - How did you feel afterwards ?
Since you've experienced this, I would like to ask:
1- What time zone those events follow ?
2- I noticed the on-demand event is in parts so in order to earn the badge, I have to watch all parts ?
Thanks,
RK

Hi Rami
PMEXPO2016 was from 11:00 to 20:00 Eastern time some started a 9AM EDT
15 minutes break between conference
If you don't attend all conference they provided a link to complete the PMEXPO in the next few weeks.
I don't know if you complete after that period if you can still earn the badge.
I understand some older one day event are still viewable, I don't know about the badges.

Hehe!! I took few hours’ nap after the event. It was hectic, but the event was worth watching.
Visited exhibitor’s booths – ca technologies, QuickBase, MS Project, Oracle Instantis, BrightWork, Deltek, digite, Global Knowledge, IIL, Innotas, QSM, The Resource Planning Summit, Planview.
Downloaded lots of information, articles, white papers, got invite for free webinars, and subscribed to the mailing list as well.
Overall, it was a great experience, though there was not enough time for networking.
All PMI events are schedule at Eastern Time Zone.

Yes you can earn the badge as per our fellow colleagues but for a certain period of time. Like the Agility Conference, it was on Sept 14 but still on going.

This is very interesting .... i thought you only can watch but it seems you can also participate and visit booths ? I did not yet participate in any of the virtual conferneces so I do not know how it exactly works but this means I have to take the day off work :D Please feel free to share more about your experience.
Just one last question, the on demand, you might have noticed that it is in sections, not one link, its many videos so to earn the badge I have to watch one by one or is there a way to watch it all at once ?

PMXPO 2016 was available as one link until July 28, 2016.
All webinars are now available in sections. You can watch any of these in any order at any time.

I watched this event On Demand (as one link) recently. I got the PDUs but did not get the badge. I have contacted the support team to see if badges are awarded retrospectively. I haven't heard back from them yet.

Anupam,
This is the conference that I was talking about, the agility conference. I opened the link, pressed on demaned on my ipad, then it opened another app called XPOCAST but there are different tabs inside it and you have to click on each one to watch that part. For example, the opening, the speeches, and so on.
Since you mentioned one link to watch it all straight, I am not sure if we are on the same page ?!? I just want to make sure im on the right track being new to those virtual conferences.

Rami,
I never tried through ipad/iphone so not sure how the format look like.
As the event (PMI Organizational Agility Conference 2016.
) is available on-demand until 14 December 2016, you can watch webinars at any time, in any order to earn badge and PDUs.

Rami,
I did exactly what you explained here when i watched them. I opened individual speeches. The speeches would be listed in reverse order of time. So the last speech (concluding note) would be listed at the top. I scrolled to the bottom of the list and opened each of them, one at a time, and viewed them.
