I have taught project management in many universities over the last 14 years and decided to build my own web based PM simulation focusing on the people/softskills of PM.
Would be interested in hearing from trainers/educators that:
- use simulations or would like to

I believe simulation training works well if the audience responds well to such environments.
Some people might be prone to nausea, dizziness or other symptoms. Those who never played video games, simulation or otherwise, might not take to it.

First of all, all the efforts might be appreciated to deliver the firm understanding on PM. However, specific simulations on PM might be like facing the problem with full of assumptions which might not be even relevant to all different situations. It should be seen in terms of cost effective. In my humble opinion, just general approach to provide necessary knowledge like PMBOK Guide might be the best solution to be applied to all different situations by choosing the possible best solutions to suit to the specific situation understood and analyzed through the PM's experience and knowledge. I helped work on the development of an interactive PM simulation for the NSF. One of the complexities rapidly becomes, who's idea of the "correct" action in a situation is correct? There are many possible approaches to a project management situation, and many hat would work equally well. It ends up that the simulation teaches one, or maybe a few correct approaches. What our brains take for granted, gets very complex rapidly when coding something Saving Changes...

good point, while simulations can be a composite of practitioner and academic approaches, its still possible that the resulting decision model in the simulation differs from what other experts might say or needs to be modified according to an industry specific approach. Perhaps, unlike a aircraft simulator, an experiential learning conceptual simulation, needs to be more focused on highlighting issues and approaches rather than giving the student the license to fly.
