Syncing Sharepoint task list with project online timesheet and resource center

Dear friends,

I got a requirement from my senior that during allocating resource in project online, he cant able to see the tasks allocated to him in SharePoint task list.

Since i understand its by default design in project online. I searched in internet to see a workaround for this (No possible result). As most of our work were independent and we create SharePoint task list to keep track of it, but being incapable to sync SharePoint task list with timesheets and resource center was really a worry.

Please any one help us in resolving the same. your help means a lot to us.

Where is the task list maintained, SP or Project?
