I was wondering whether Agile techniques be used while designing projects in energy sector, or in companies which develop solution for power plants?

I understand that all depends on the product the project has to deliver and the project requirements. Agile techniques are tools, and like any other tool, they will work better for specific situations, regardless the industry.

First of all you have to understand what agile is. Agile is not software or IT related, agile is not a method, agile is not a process, agile did not start with the manifesto. Search for USA DoD NSF/Agility Forum (1990, I was part) where agile formally was born or for Mr. Rick Dove´s work named "Response Ability" where most of the results has been recorded inside the work. After that you wil understand that agile can be use anywhere including your personal life.

I think Sergio made a clear statement.
I"m new to Agile, but form the information I got here at ProjectMnagement.com and recently at Agile Tour Montreal. You can apply Agile to almost any project personnal or professional.
I'm pushing to get some construction company to be more Agile here.

Agile is not about technology! Yet, as far as I see m y customers working on their strategies, agile appears more than applicable to the energy sector, too.
