When starting project in a new country with new customer what is the best way to quickly build rapport?

Good day! We always come across cultural differences as we are a software development team in Russia that cooperate with European and US companies. We have two interesting articles in our blog that perfectly describes some of cultural differences and some other issues of PM work:
