I'm going to shamelessly promote my book and the title is: "I Think, Therefore I Plan: Mastering the methods and meditations of project management"
I wrote this because I got sick of boring PM books that only focus on tools and techniques and not on developing the deep critical tacit skills that are enhance by philosophical thinking. If anyone has viewed and read my blogs and webinars on this site should not be surprised at my approach. There's no other book on the market willing to take this approach!
Is the cover an original picture? Because I've seen it in a humoristic website in Spain. Only for your info, but when I've seen the cover I thought in the humoristic site, instead of a formal PM book.

The picture of the man sitting and thinking is a license free graphic that I used. I'm looking to create my own in a future version, but for now it is perfect.
There actually is an underlying satirical irony for the picture, because it is corporate man thinking, but the reality of course is that most corporate people don't really think!
My book has lots of formal "methods", but I wrote the book in a conversational style, pretty much like a personal monologue between the reader and myself. I don't like boring PM books and got sick of reading them, so I definitely did not want to write another one!
My book also has lots of personal observations about the psychological quirkiness of people I've worked with and in the sections about "humans", I have sections with titles such as "Hell is Other People" which was inspired by a play I read by Sartre and another is called "Dysfunction Junction, What's Your Malfunction" about killers and zombies I've had to work with and how to survive them!
I strongly feel that the non-fiction genre of project management and general management could use disruption and start using literary and philosophical insights, rather than boring, sleep inducing outlines such as is horribly articulated in the PMBOK Guide! This book though is aligned with the PMBOK Guide and could help with PMP studies, but I go much deeper and its definitely not another "PMP Prep" book as that's the last thing this world needs!
Book is live in Kindle, but still in "beta" and I'm using the book in 3 classes that I teach at the university and so far the students seem to like its approach. I hope to have version "1.0" and in paperback by February. Thanks for your interest!
Demetrius, thank you for posting! Yes, I am working on several research projects, and I intend to publish my first one soon. Everyone's input has been invaluable.
John, I have friends that also publish in Amazon. They publish for free the book during one week, like this, they get reviews and comments. Maybe you can think about it...I love to read free books. :)

From my point of view, you could invest a little in the design cover, sometimes the cover will make a difference.
