How do you calculate the PDU's to be claimed for Work as Practitioner. Does this have any formula or years of experience gets? How do we put PDUs against Work as a Practitioner experience?

Hi Ninand, you should be able to do multiple entries, one for Atos and then submit another claim for Datamatics. As long as your total is less than 8 for the 3 year cycle.

Thanks for your reply. However I read in some previous posts on this thread that you can apply only once under this category. I just hope it doesn't cause a problem.

Ninad

Well Guys,

it seems that i have mixed up the old and the new rules here a bit and cause i was unsure by myself i have rechecked in the CCR handbook now; here is what is written there regarding this topic:

==========================================

CCR Handbook – updated 22 August 2016

Giving Back to the Profession

Work as a Practitioner

Working in your certified role Each day, your work in a domain area related to your certification(s) allows you to apply your knowledge and skills in a practical setting. Using these competencies actively contributes to sustaining and growing the profession.

PDU Rules:
- This activity has a maximum number of PDUs that can be claimed per cycle:
o PMP, PgMP, PfMP, PMI-PBA – no more than 8 PDUs claimed per cycle
o PMI-ACP, PMI-RMP, PMI-SP – no more than 4 PDUs claimed per cycle

You can claim Working as Professional PDUs once per certification cycle.

The PDUs claimed in this category count against the maximum PDUs allowed in the “Giving Back to the Profession” category

These PDUs only apply to your current cycle and cannot be transferred.
Documentation required for audit: Proof of employment (job description)

=========================================

The important part is, that you can ONLY ONCE PER CYCLE claim PDUs in this category.
So, it seems to be absolutely useful to claim them all towards the end of the 3 year cycle.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Regards,

Markus
Thanks, Markus that helps but have one question more if you can please guide me. How do I count the PDUs, or say decide the no. of PDU. Thanks

Hey Rajani. You should certainly be able to submit these PDUs against your PMP. I suggest you contact the training provider for instructions on submitting them. With any luck, they will give you a claim code or course code. These codes usually automatically fill the talent triangle appropriately.

Hi,

I am a PMI - PBA certificate holder, and my certification cycle completes in February 2023. If I am not mistaken, for giving back as practitioner, I can write articles, create templates etc. as well, right? Or do I have to do anything else?

Appreciate any helpful feedback.

Thank You
