While I was going thru' initial chapters of PMBOK, I read that the outcome of a project can be tangible or intangible. I was confused and didn't get any thoughts on Saving Changes...
In heritage projects (construction industry) the project's objectives are always classified into two (2) the tangible deliverables and the intangible deliverables. Sample of tangible deliverables: The physical structure (sculpture, exhibition, monument), the estimated # of people impacted, possible revenue and others Sample of Intangible deliverables: The conservation of the cultural heritage (the story related to the monument or a tradition associated with the specific sculpture or heritage site) that is intended to be delivered as part of the project for future generations Saving Changes...
Some great construction project have both a tangible part, the structure. And for the intangible part not alway foreseen is the lasting impact on culture.
What are all the intangible impact of project such as the Eiffel Tower, Egypt Pyramids, Empire State Building, Taj Mahal and so many other ? They impacted in too many intangible way to try to describe.
In service project, the report can be tangible but not the content! Saving Changes...
