Thanks Naomi, George!
As we know OPM is a strategy execution framework, utilising Project, Program and Portfolio management and Organisational enabling practices to consistently and predictably delivering strategy, producing better, better results and a sustainable competitive advantage.
So the OPM clearly is the driver behind the corporate wheel, to let the whole project management thing going. Essentially, projects fall last in the line of execution of strategy, but is the most potent of a function for its failure or success.
Portfolios are typical set of formative policies and procedures and offers fundamental framework for existence of programs and projects.
Progams becomes specific execution vehicles and create projects to achieve specific objectives, they guide project governance by laying out specific guidlines for projects.
Projects are action oriented unique endeavors, have specific time bound deliverable requirements within the tenets of quality and cost.
@ Naomi...I on my personal goal, like to advance my career focus to strategy definition, alignment, and execution through Project Management so am looking for contributions on this count.
@ George, this is indeed interesring subject, lets see how much we get here..
