In a dictatorial style of project management is it possible to resolve conflicts by confronting or solving the problem, if yes how do we go about this.

No matter what the style of project management being deployed, resolving conflicts by confronting then and problem solving is a must. Most o the time I find its just about listening and helping the parties interpret what the real issue is. It can be viewed as a negotiation, and I recommend the book "Getting to Yes" by Roger Fisher as well as researching conflict resolution through coaching. Good luck!

Yes, you can resolve conflict using this style too, maybe others way could be better for someone, but, this is a way to resolve and continue with the project

As others mentioned it could be possible. It is not good (I know it is not the spirit of your post) to open a value judgement when talking about style. Style is one of the key variables when you analyze the enterprise architecture using some tools like Tom Peter`s Seven S model. So, while you could agree or not with the style, is a matter of organizational strategy.
