Do you give a Milestone a WBS code?

Using PMI Standards Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)

When filling out a Project Plan and developing your WBS structure, do you also give Miletones a WBS code or is this only meant for tasks?

WBS is meant for tasks but we can define the milestones (based on priority decided) as well as payment terms for the project.
After accomplishment of milestones, we can release the project/products updates to the client and request milestone payment.

Thank you, for this project I will leave the WBS code out for Milestones, as the project is cross functional and not customer related.
